Cat Grooming Wednesdays

Sher’s Pups and Pals now offers cat grooming every Wednesday by appointment only.

Our cat grooming services are designed to be calm, gentle and practical. Cats must arrive in a secure carrier, and grooming will only be completed where it is safe and tolerated by the cat.

We offer three main cat grooming services:

Bath & Deshed

Our Bath & Deshed service is ideal for cats who shed heavily, have loose undercoat, or need help maintaining their coat.

This service includes:
• Cat-safe bath
• Blow dry where tolerated
• Deshedding
• Brush-out
• Nail trim
• Ear clean

Available for short-haired and long-haired cats.

Short-haired cats usually need less brushing and drying time, while long-haired cats require extra coat work to remove loose undercoat and help prevent knots.

This service is suitable for maintained coats. If your cat is matted, a Full Body Clip or matting add-on may be required.

Nail Trim

Our Cat Nail Trim service is a quick appointment to safely shorten your cat’s nails.

This service includes:
• Front and back nail trim where tolerated
• Quick paw check

Regular nail trims help prevent overgrown nails, scratching injuries, and nails getting caught in fabric.

Full Body Clip

Our Full Body Clip service is for cats who need their coat clipped shorter for comfort, maintenance, shedding control, or matting prevention.

This service includes:
• Full body clip
• Nail trim
• Ear clean
• Light finishing tidy
• Coat and skin check

There are two length options:

Short Length Clip

A shorter clip is done using clipper blades. This is best for cats with matting, thick coats, heavy shedding, or coats that are hard to maintain.

Long Length Clip

A longer clip is done using attachment combs where the coat allows. This keeps more fluff and is best for cats with well-maintained coats and little to no matting.

Please note: Long clips are only possible if the coat is clean, brushed through, and not heavily knotted.

Optional Add-Ons

Bath Add-On

A bath can be added to a full-body clip where safe and tolerated by the cat.

Matting Add-On

This applies when extra time is needed to safely remove knots, matting, compacted coat, or pelted areas. Matted coats may need to be clipped shorter for the cat’s comfort and safety.

Aggressive Behaviour / Extra Handling Add-On

This may apply if a cat needs extra time, breaks, or assistance due to biting, scratching, lunging, high stress, or unsafe behavior.

Important Information

All cats must arrive in a secure carrier.

We do not sedate cats. Cats requiring sedation must be groomed through a vet.

Bathing and grooming will only be completed where safe and tolerated.

Extra charges may apply for matting, fleas, aggressive behavior, extra handling, or additional time.

We reserve the right to stop a groom if the cat becomes too stressed or unsafe to continue.
